Let Macaroni Kid Keep You In-The-Know For All Things Fun

By Amanda Chapman, Publisher of the Winchester Macaroni Kid August 2, 2017

Last night the kids and I met some friends at the Frederick County Fair to see the monster trucks because our family just can't get enough of them!  Not only did we have a blast watching the monster trucks and stunt motocross drivers, we got to meet all the monster truck drivers, get their autographs and the kids got to sit in the wheel wells and get their pictures taken with the trucks.  Afterward, we cruised through the barns checking out and petting the multitude of animals. The kids had a blast seeing cows, goats, sheep, chickens, rabbits, pigs, camels and alpacas!  I love that we can have treasured family time and make wonderful memories by doing something as simple as going to the fair.  And of course, the fairs signal the end of summer.  That means the dreaded words Back To School are right around the corner!  With some of our local schools starting back as early as August 7th (that’s only five days away!), we have compiled this week’s Macaroni Kid edition as our Back-To-School Edition.  Are you ready?

Don’t forget…THIS WEEKEND is Virginia’s Tax-Free Weekend!  This is the best time to shop for school supplies, school clothes, shoes…anything school-related…and save a few dollars by not having to pay any tax on your purchases.  For more information, check out our Macaroni Kid Calendar for the details.
